Field notes from The Black Gold Press
This is a space for working notes, observations and fragments from my ongoing practice.
I use it to think through ideas that sit alongside the making of prints; visits to places, conversations with people, experiments in the studio and details that don't always find their way into finished work but shape how it develops.
My work often begins outside the studio, in industrial, constructed, social and natural environments and through sketches, photographs, video and sound recordings. Field Notes is a place to hold some of that material in a looser form, as it's happening rather than after it has been resolved.
There won't be a fixed schedule to these notes, but I'll add them when there is something worth sharing.
